Reply to Sender
3 messages
A tip for everyone to consider. When someone sends out an email that could lead to a discussion, an option to remember is “Reply to Sender”. When you use this option to reply to the email only the sender will see the reply instead of the entire group. This could be a good way to keep the email traffic down to a minimum. This option is available as a link at the bottom of the email, on the phone or computer.

How to Mute a Topic
3 messages
When someone posts a topic for discussion sometimes there are too many responses for some people. It may be a topic that they don’t want to follow. Groups.io has a feature called Muting that can enable a member to Mute the Topic. When you Mute a Topic, you will no longer receive any future emails on this Topic. The procedure to Mute a topic follows. At the bottom of the email there are several links. Including View/Reply online………….Mute This Topic. Click the Link that says Mute This Topic. You will be brought to a web site. It will say Mute Topic, Mute the “specific topic”, and a box that says Yes and one that says No. Click the box that says Yes. That will do it.

Subscription Options
Just a reminder that there are several options when it comes to how many emails you receive in your inbox from our HBC Groups.io email group. On the web interface of the email group select Subscrition on the left hand side menu list and you will see the following options. Individual Messages is the defalut option. Subscription Options Groups.io offers several options to control how much, if any, email to receive from your groups. To change your subscription, go to Your Subscriptions page and then click the link in the Delivery column for the group you're interested in changing. Email Delivery The Email Delivery options control how you wish to receive group emails. Individual Messages will send each email individually, as soon as it's posted. Full Featured Digest will group the days messages into batches of 12 and send each batch when the twelvth is posted. Any that remain at the end of the day will be sent as the final (or only) digest of the day. The digests include the full text of each message, omitting any quotes of prior messages. Full Featured Digests include at the top a list of the enclosed topics, clickable as links to take you to that topic. Plain Digest works the same way, but is sent as a text/plain email message, with no clickable links. Daily Summary sends a once-daily list of topics posted that day. Unlike the digests the summary does not include the text of any of the messages, only the list of topics. Special Notices Only sends only those messages which a moderator has designated as a Special Notice. No Email sends no posted messages to you by email. You may still receive individual notifications from the group and/or from Groups.io.

HBC Groups.io Email Policy
7 messages
Just as a reminder the HBC Groups.io email group emails should only be biking related emails. I know these are strange times and we are all experiencing unusual feelings and thoughts. People want to reach out to each other with concerns about what is going on. However, lets keep this HBC email system emails about biking related topics only. Users who violate this policy will be removed from the system. The HBC club members appreciate everyone’s cooperation.

Huntington Bicycle Club's RWGPS Account
The Huntington Bicycle Club has a RWGPS Club account. This account is available to all current HBC members. All members receive an invitation to join this account with your welcome letter from Sal Levy after joining the club. The HBC club account contains over 150 routes. These routes can be used on your smartphone using turn by turn directions. They can also be accessed on a computer where you can look at the route in more detail and even print out cue sheets and maps. However only our two RWGPS Chairpersons , Dan Panzenback and Jeff Erlitz, can add, delete or modify the routes in the club Route Library. Some of the features that you can access with the club account include: · Voice Navigation in our mobile app · Offline Maps in our mobile app · PDF Maps + Cue sheets · Advanced Turn Notifications with TCX files · Estimated time · Copy a route to your personal account In order to get the most out of these club routes it works best in conjunction with a personal account. After joining the HBC account, you will see an HBC logo in your personal account Dashboard. When you click on that logo you will then be able to access the club routes as well as the routes you have created. After opening a route, you will be able to copy the route to your routes. The level of your account will depend on what you can then do with the route. There is a link on the HBC website that is a subpage of the Rides and Meetings page. This link will bring you to the club RWGPS page. https://ridewithgps.com/organizations/1666-huntington-bicycle-club On this page if you click on “Member Features” it will bring you to a page with more information and videos about RWGPS.
