SUNY Westbury closed to traffic

Scott Gross

I don't know if others have experienced this during the week. On Sunday I tried to drive-thru SUNY Old Westbury to cut through from Route 107 to the LIE Service Road. The gate was closed and there was a guard at the gate preventing people from entering. When I told him I was just going through to the horse farms and the LIE I was told I had to make a u-turn.

Scott,
I was  trying to go through Old Westbury and that happened to me also.
You also can’t go through a lot of the beaches.
They have the Gate locked to go onto East Island in Lattingtown.
Crab Meadow and Eaton’s Neck are closed.
It has been great bike riding with no cars on the road but this past week I see the traffic is picking up.
I have been thinking of you a lot lately.   I Hope all is well with you, your family and your Patients.
I’ve driven by the Hospital several times.  It looks quiet on the outside but I’m sure that it is beyond frantic on the inside.   Also sad to see was the big Refrigerated Truck outside by the Morgue.
Stay safe and hope to see you on the road soon.

Thanks very much. The hospital is pretty crazy right now but it looks like we've gone past the peak and are slowly starting down the other side of the Curve
