My suggestion is to sign on to two devices. View the HBC route on one and then use the planner under your own account on another device to reconstruct it to your needs. Easier than it sounds. Let me know how it works out.

The club account only allows HBC members to ride the club routes on your phone. I think that is the only advantage to the club account. You will not have special privileges in creating routes

HBC has a club membership with Ride with GPS. If you have a Ride with GPS account you can edit and save rides. If you have a non paid account that is fine but you can only access the club routes in the library.
